January 2009, ball point pen, you know the deal.
Some girl here in Philly who's into some weirdy beardy spiritual stuff wanted me to design this tattoo for her. She gave me all the details and said EXACTLY what she wanted in it and this came as a result. Strange. Anyways, this whole thing is going on her right arm. I'll get a picture of that when it's done (and if she lets me). The moon covers her shoulder and the roots extend all the way down to her elbow and beyond. She's a tiny girl, so it'll be amazing if the tattoo artist can fit the whole thing onto her. SYMBOLISM: She likes trees and thinks they represent human's life and wealth of knowledge. The rats in the soil are suppose to be the people that have done her wrong in her life (since they're tangled in her roots, which represent her upbringings.) The heart is meant to enhance the whole "trees as humans" thing, plus she really dug my other painting to involve a heart [link] The knife and snake regurgitating money were last minute additions. 2/21/09 UPDATE: Sorry, but there won't be a follow up to this pic, as I stopped talking to the girl that got this tattooed on her. Since completing this, she's turned to drugs and attention whoring to fill some void in her life. Its pathetic to see such a spectacle, to delve into unnecessary, poisonous indulgences and allow ugly, retarded wastes of space persuade you. Whatever, just another wasted life defined by drugs. |
